Tokyo Performance

Allégresse is excited about our upcoming performance in TOKYO, JAPAN at the International Double Reed Society Conference at the National Olympic Memorial Youth Center on August 15 at 2 PM. We’ll perform the world premiere of Weapons of Miss Destruction by Anne Marie Guzzo, a three-movement work for flute, oboe, bassoon and piano. Also on the program, we’ll perform the Asian premiers of Cuando me acuerdo de ti by Vinicio Meza for flute, oboe, bassoon and piano and Cathedral Grove for solo oboe by KU composition professor Forrest Pierce. Isabel Jeremias, bassoon professor at the Universidad de Costa Rica will perform with us. She’ll also travel to Lawrence to record the works by Guzzo and Meza before we all leave for the conference.
